Stumbled onto your site after visiting Simmers Paint Shop and clicking on the corner “2009″ image (don’t know why, guess I was feeling brave). This is one time that I’m very pleased to have been taken away from the site I was originally viewing. Your work is outstanding! Obviously I am a bit biased, being a long time military aviation hobbyist.
Looking forward to seeing your site, and portfolio, grow.
Hey Wiek! Great to see all the work you have been doing over the years! Its been a while since the Particle days Hope your doing well up in Scotland, would love to work there someday, amazing place.
Keep up these amazing models you do. Very inspirational.
Terrific, terrific art. Been following your stuff at Modo, as I’m trying to get back into 3D, and also a fan of WWII birds. My dad was in China, 14th FS, flew P-40 in combat, P-38 post-combat (training others), also copiloting B-25 (target training). Your stuff rocks.
Any chance I can get a peek of some samples of your texturing? The sabre samples I think you posted at Lux (vertical kill, I think) were taken down. I’m trying to show some of the guys here how the maps combine to give the final rendering.
Thanks for the message ! Sounds like your dad had a very interesting career indeed
Feel free to drop in at http://www.mil-art.com to check out the various texturing techniques and work from other artists as well.
